I got some great news from the Administrative Law Judge in KY yesterday. She ruled that Workers Comp must continue covering my Facet Joint Injections despite WC taking me to court trying to get out of it. This was the second time in a year they have taken me to court trying to discontinue coverage. Because of the way the law is written in KY, you cannot legally hire an attorney to represent you after your initial claim settlement. So, I've had to fight the system both times on my own. The law is heavily skewed for the insurance companies. The Administrative Law Judges are pretty fair since they are dealing with insurance companies that have teams of attorneys going against a lay person who typically doesn't have legal services. That being said, you are still held to the same legal proceeding/evidence procedures that lawyers have to follow. The one way you can hire an attorney is to pay several thousand dollars under the table which covers one "re-opening" of your case. Most people can't afford it and in a way, the WC companies count on that. Here are some things I've learned through the process that might help someone else represent themselves if the need arises;
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
