The exhibition Waterloo and the March of Science at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy in Bath will be open until 14 December. A programme of lectures and educational events will accompany the exhibition. The exhibition examines the impact of the Napoleonic Wars at a local level and questions how science and technology responded to the culmination of nearly two decades of war with France. Astronomer William Herschel visited Napoleon and the Empress Josephine in Paris in 1801.
