The impression I get from poking around on various websites and since most board descriptions list a playing surface thickness (e.g., 20mm) is that carrom boards are always made out of plywood. However, the same poking around on crokinole websites (and from my personal board) gives me the impression that most decent quality crokinole boards are made from solid board. Why the difference? (Or am I just plain wrong?)
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
