How to use Testlink with active directory authentication

I am looking to implement Testlink with AD for user management and access control
GOAL:
As an administrator I want to create a group on Active Directory which I can use to provide local users which should have access to our testlink server, and then have this group populated within the testlink server application, roles provided and appropriate access privileges given.
I am seeking how to configure the server to provide this.

Which version of the application are you using?: 1.9.15
Please choose how you got the application: Installer (Windows, Linux, macOS), cloud image (AWS, GCE, Azure, ...) or VM (VMDK, VBOX): UBuntu Docker
Have you installed any plugin or modified any configuration file?

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
