I posted on this forum recently trying to resolve an issue with my alternator cover cracking repeatedly. At this point I believe 3D Video Production Service I'd have to replace the main bearings to fix the problem. I think it may be cheaper, and quicker, just to swap out the engine. That said I'm having difficulty finding 1000DS engines for sale. I'm wondering whether there is a list of engines that are easy swaps? There is no shortage of S2R engines on eBay: would one of these work?any ss, monster (1000, s2r) or sport classic (ps, sc, gt).use your throttle bodies and electronics (if that needs to be said).Awesome, thanks. I found an engine off a 2004 Monster 1000S so I think that should be a really easy bolt on job. Easy enough that myself and a friend or two could accomplish it.
